On Farm Processor
At Bowen Family Farm, we have our very own chicken processing facility. We are one of only six licensed Poultry Exempt processors in the Sate of Georgia! This license allows us to process up to 20,000 varieties of poultry per calendar year! This will allow us to supply pasture raised poultry to local business and consumers alike! All of our poultry is raised on pasture which produces a high quality product for you and your family to enjoy!
Our Farming Practices
At Bowen Family Farm, we practice regenerative agriculture through rotational grazing. Our goal is to provide the best quality meat for your family. We currently raise pasture raised chicken, pasture raised pork, and free range eggs! We'd love to provide you and your family clean healthy meat right off of our farm!
Pasture Raised Pork
Here at Bowen Family Farm, we pride ourselves on raising our pigs as naturally as possible and providing you with high-quality, hormone-free pork for your family. We achieve this by practicing regenerative agriculture. We purchase our piglets from a local breeder and place them on pasture in an electric-fence training pen for two weeks. They are then let out into a paddock with other pigs to forage. They are moved onto new ground when we feel like enough soil and vegetation disturbance has occurred. This allows the pigs the opportunity to eat grass, roots, and critters that they would naturally consume. They are supplemented with quality feed from a local feed mill as well to ensure they are getting all the nutrients they need.
They are never given any hormones or shots.
Pork is sold by the cut and in shares.
All pork is processed at a USDA inspected Facility.
Pasture Raised Chicken
Beginning in the spring and ending in fall, we produce pasture raised chicken! Our chickens are moved daily onto new ground where they can forage for bugs and grasses. They are supplemented with high protein feed from a local feed mill! RESERVE YOURS IN BULK TODAY TO SAVE!
